  • Deal strengthens VideoDB’s developer tools and AI-driven video capabilities.
  • Devzery team joins VideoDB to drive U.S. expansion.

San Francisco-based VideoDB, an AI-native video infrastructure company, has acquired Devzery, a Chennai-based startup specializing in AI-powered software testing. The acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, will enhance VideoDB’s developer tooling and support its mission to build robust AI-driven video solutions.

Founded in 2021, Devzery automates API regression testing through an AI agent that integrates directly with CI/CD pipelines, removing the need for manual test scripts. Its platform has served clients like Cimpress, Shopflo, and Zeda.io. The startup had earlier raised $125,000 from Upekkha to support its growth and product development.

VideoDB, founded in 2023, is building a 'video-as-data' infrastructure for the agentic web, helping developers process, tag, and analyze live video streams. With Devzery’s integration, VideoDB aims to deliver a developer-first, enterprise-grade platform offering higher reliability and faster deployment cycles for use cases like surveillance, model training, and real-time media editing.

The acquisition highlights how Indian deep-tech startups are attracting global interest as AI-driven automation becomes central to software development and digital infrastructure worldwide.
