Vaidam Health Acquires MediJourney to Boost Global Medical Tourism Play

·  Vaidam Health acquires MediJourney in an all-cash deal to strengthen global medical tourism operations.

·  MediJourney’s AI-enabled patient platform to enhance Vaidam’s digital capabilities and outreach.

·  Deal expected to boost active patient engagements by 40–50% and expand presence in Africa and Southeast Asia.

In a step that indicates deeper integration in India's rapidly expanding cross-border healthcare industry, Vaidam Health, a prominent Indian medical tourism platform, has acquired MediJourney, a technology-enabled international patient facilitation startup incubated by Ferns N Petals (FNP) in 2024. The transaction, made as an all-cash deal, is a strategic step-up for Vaidam Health in broadening its reach worldwide and technological proficiency.

Introduced only last year, MediJourney offers a virtual matchmaking platform that brings international patients together with vetted hospitals and treatment centers. Its AI-powered onboarding, case coordination in multiple languages, and proprietary digital infrastructure have given it fast traction in the sector for medical tourism. Vaidam is now looking to merge these capabilities into its platform to deliver an elevated patient experience and global operations optimization.

We are thrilled to welcome MediJourney into the Vaidam fold," said Pankaj Chandna, Co-founder of Vaidam Health. "Their platform supports our current infrastructure and enhances our goal to make high-quality care accessible to global patients.

Established in 2016 by Manish Chandra and Chandna, Vaidam Health processes more than 25,000 patient interactions per month and has operations in seven countries. The firm provides end-to-end services for medical tourists such as treatment discovery, visa assistance, interpreter assistance, and post-reatment assistance, backed by a network of trusted-referral top hospitals in India.

Under the terms of the transaction, MediJourney will remain an independent company with its core team committed to strategic growth efforts.

Rishabh Jalan, MediJourney Co-founder, stated: "This collaboration makes strong synergies between two companies that share a like-mindset. Through partnering with Vaidam Health, we plan to expand our technology and reach a far larger international patient base."

The transaction should power a 40–50% surge in active patient interactions within the year. Vaidam will also increase its international presence in major overseas markets by doubling its in-country teams and information centers in Africa and Southeast Asia to meet growing demand for India's medical tourism options.
