Union Budget witnesses dynamic encouraging schemes for Women, Youth & Poor Masses
During the presentation of Parliament’s monsoon Budget session, Nirmal Sitharaman emphasized the government focus to support poor farmers, youth, and women.
The new budget is expected to bring prosperity in the agriculture sector and Sitharaman initiated few schemes to encourage farmers to adopt organic farming. The farmers will get certification and branding in next 2 years. Jan Samarth based Kisan Credit Cards will be provided. Govt. has announced to build 10,000 need-based bio-input resource centres.
After announcing the schemes and funds allocated for farmers, she highlighted those schemes which are exclusively made for the upliftment of the women.
During her Budget presentation in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman reaffirmed the government's dedication to increasing women's participation in the workforce. The administration intends to collaborate with industries to construct hostels for working women and establish creches while also providing customized skill-training programs for females.
Additionally, there will be endeavors made towards improving market accessibility for enterprises led by self-help groups comprising of women.
The Union Budget 2024-25 has presented
3 lakh crore for schemes that will directly impact women and girls of the nation. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the first budget of Modi government's third term, proposed
3 lakh crore scheme benefitting women and girls.
To encourage the working mothers the government also promised to provide working women's hostels and creches in collaboration with industry.
To uplift the education sstem of India, Union Government planned to amend the Model Skill Loan Scheme so that it can assist 25,000 students yearly. E-vouchers worth up to
10 lakh will be offered directly to one hundred thousand students annually for higher education in domestic institutions and an annual interest subvention of 3% on their loan amount will also be provided.
