TN's MSME Minister launches Smart Cards to boost & bolster Startups

Demonstrating the state government's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in Tamil Nadu, the MSME Minister of Tamil Nadu, T M Anbarasan launched the Smartcard scheme and the StartUp challenge website during an event organized by StartUp TN. Also the Tamil Nadu’s department of MSME has distributed a capital subsidy of 9.05 crore to four start-ups owned by individual from SC/ST communities under the TANSeed Fund scheme.

The scheme of Smart cards for Startups is designed to lend a hand to start-ups in accessing the essential services required for their growth & operations including human resources, legal advice, IT, media, and publicity at a discounted rate. In an era where start-ups requires all the support they can get, this scheme will offer priceless resources to those who wants it most.

And also he introduced the StartUp challenge website at the event. This inventive platform will be enabling the departments of governments to connect with the start-ups to discover ground-breaking solutions to cater their challenges.

This synergism between the government & the start-up ecosystem will not only uphold novelty but also make sure that government departments get various advantages from the quickness & new perspectives that start-ups can carry.

Also the event demonstrated the introduction of more than 20 start-ups focused in areas including artificial intelligence, media, and software technology through the Launch Pad event.

At launch, Archana Patnaik, State MSME secretary highlighted the significance of the Tamil Nadu government's promise to fostering the ecosystem for startups & supporting entrepreneurs from SC/ST community in Tamil Nadu.
