5. Narayana Murthy

Murthy is one of the seven co-founders of Infosys, and served as the CEO of the company from 1981 to 2002, and then as chairman till 2011. He is now chairman-emeritus.

After his first job at IIM-A, he started company called Softronics in 1976. Its failure made him join Patni in Pune. After settling down in Pune, Murthy founded Infosys in 1981with an initial capital of Rs 10,000, which was invested by his wife Sudha Murthy.
