“Do you know about the company?” is the one question that I ask every candidate during an interview. For any candidate willing to join an organization, it is important to know the cause of the birth of the company and the purpose that it is serving.

Nine out of ten people that I have interviewed never know what the company is all about and this is one of the primary reason for the increasing attrition rate. Without doing the background check of the company, they simply come up to take a chance. However, if they do a proper background check, it will help them evaluate the help that they both will be doing to each other. I would also prefer to ask “What value would you bring in and why you want to join the company?” to better understand his vision and mission about his professional life.
