To tackle this issue, the Indian government initiated the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in 2015. PMAY aims to offer affordable housing and eliminate housing shortages in urban and rural areas. In 2022, the PMAY program delivered 6.5 million completed houses in urban areas, highlighting the potential for accelerated financial inclusion.

Recognizing the intricacies of income and loan feasibility among low-income households, Sumedha, the founder of Syntellect, introduced 'RightProfile' in 2017.
