Startups can assist with mining industry's technical challenges
The secretary of the mines ministry stated that startups can assist in addressing technological issues that the mining industry is now facing. She also added that the participation of startups in the sector will pave the way for future growth. Bharadwaj emphasised the ministry's initiatives to support efficiency and innovation in mineral exploration and mining in order to realise the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" vision. He emphasised that startups have a huge potential for utilising new technologies for mining and exploration.
The first Mining Start-up Summit will be held in Mumbai on May 29 and will be organised by the Ministry of Mines in partnership with IIT Bombay. Over 150 startups and 20 significant industries from the fields of exploration, virtual reality, automation, drone technology, consulting, and other areas will attend.
The summit's main topics will be innovation and methods that support and enhance mining and metallurgical performance, safety, and the development of autonomy. The ministry will have the chance to meet with emerging companies in the mining and metallurgy sectors and investigate strategies for accelerating the industry's and ultimately the nation's growth. Leading businesses in the mineral exploration sector, financial institutions, and banks will also attend the conference in addition to startups.
