The 1st Ever Fully Virtual Resurgence TiEcon Delhi-NCR came to a close on the 30th, January 2021. With this TiE Delhi-NCR experimented with a four day ,  half day sessions format, reaching out to a wide global audience. The conclave brought on board the most inspiring and wide range of veteran speakers across the spectrum. Of the 170 speakers who were part of the event, 50 were women - representing a diverse & impressive representation. 

Keeping in line with its focus of Entrepreneurship and Inclusion, TiE Delhi - NCR also aimed to  recognise people with Special Needs as Consumers of goods and services! A cohort showcasing 12 outstanding startups  creating  Assistive Solutions for Special Needs were pitched to the best investors and funders in the country at the conclave. With this, the event brought inclusive growth and diversity to the centre stage.

The fourth day concalve had eminent speakers like Shernaz Daver, Advisory Partner- Google Ventures (Chair), Irina Ghose, Executive Director - Cloud Solutions - Microsoft India, Shikha Sharma, Advisor GPay, Ex MD & CEO -Axis Bank;Piyush Gupta, MD - Strategic Development - Sequoia India; Sheenam Ohrie, Vice President - Self Service Dell Technologies - Dell Digital Services; Mark Kahn, Managing Partner – Omnivore,  R. Ramanan, Mission Director - Atal Innovation Mission, Additional Secy - Niti Aayog - GoI; Anshul Sushil, Co-Founder & CEO - Wizikey,  amongst  others.

Through the RB InGen challenge, we aim to bring young Indian innovators together to disrupt the equilibrium in the areas of disinfection, cleaning and pest control as well as in cleaner air and water. We are actively reaching out to the next generation of innovators through hackathons, associations with accelerators and have already started working with multiple colleges for B plan competition. We intend making RB InGen Challenge a platform where young Indian minds come together, find solutions and contribute in their own unique ways.”

Speaking on the association of Dell with startups, Venkat Sitaram, GM & GEO Head-South India Corporate Business- Dell Technologies said “We’ve built a framework called the smarter healthcare framework which addresses a bunch of transformative solutions including Multi Cloud, Healthy IT infrastructure, creating a Digital workplace, virtual & Personalized Health. We partner with innovators and have a  Startup Partnership Program, we give access to our Centres of Excellence - for app testing & validation. Startups can reach out to us for this. In fact our recent partnership with the Ministry of Health to develop a cloud based mobile app - Digilife care-is  soon to touch 500 plus men in rural India  This is how technology can touch lives, we are proud to enable such platforms.”

Nikesh Arora - Chairman & CEO - Palo Alto Networks said “Next 10 years will be about data; every business is generating a lot of data, the better data you have the better service you can give to people. But data needs to be secure and with the world going through digitalisation, there is a need to create cybersecurity. The whole world is going to the cloud. Cloud security becomes more and more important. Data is being volunteered to provide convenience.The onus of the people who are collecting the data to provide the service which the consumer wants only. How to ensure the data of citizens is residing in other countries.”

The event included an exciting pitchfest with a large number of investors participating. All startups pitches at TiE the Knot attracted investor interest.
