Startup Founder's Controversial Advice: 'Leave India! It's High Time'

A Reddit post by a startup founder on the r/India subreddit “Leave India! It's High Time!" is currently at the center of a contentious discussion. The now-deleted post was written by a user going by the handle "u/anonymous_batm_an," who urged high-earning professionals—especially innovators—to leave India for nations with better governance and opportunities.

He claimed to be "running it successfully" at the moment after raising a substantial sum of money. "I employ nearly 30 people paying an average salary of 15 lakhs," said the individual.

"Leave India! It's high time!” He titled the long post, "And I am telling this as someone who runs a well-funded business!"

The businessman gave a number of arguments in favor of immigration for people who want to create "something innovative." He claimed that "stupid" regulations in India stifle innovation.

"To get things done quickly, you have to be a politician, bureaucrat, or famous person. As an illustration, we had a fraudulent case on our app, for which a FIR was made. The victim received his money back after we helped the police solve the case. Well, guess what? The police accuse us, don't wrap up the case, and demand money from us. This is India for you," he declared.

The user also brought attention to the problem of regional disparities, saying that he encountered "regional hate" from cab drivers, restaurants, autodrivers, sabziwalas, and other sources virtually every week. In addition, he berated Indians for having "low work ethics" and asserted that "if you don't look rich or wear branded-you are a piece of filth in this country."
