A Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu-based AI business has achieved what most entrepreneurs aspire to: making their staff members wealthy. Saravanakumar launched Kovai.co, a firm that offers business-to-business SaaS solutions, in 2011. Fourteen years later, Saravanakumar made the decision to keep his word to his workers by awarding incentives totaling 14 crore to 140 of them.

Named for the city in which it was established, Kovai.co takes pride in its clientele, which includes well-known companies like the BBC, Boeing, and Shell. Originally from Coimbatore, also called Kovai, its creator Saravanakumar departed for London twenty-five years ago.

Saravanakumar, Founder & CEO of Kovai.co says, "I was a regular IT worker for over a decade. But I found a gap in the market and decided to set up this startup. It is completely bootstrapped and we have no external funding”.

Three main products were developed to fill the market gap: Turbo 360, Document 360, and Biztalk 360. With Turbo 360, users may optimize their cloud costs and save up to 30%. Biztalk 360 is specialized software that links backend apps like SAP, Salesforce, and others and unifies them on a single platform, while Document 360 assists in creating and updating the Help page for customers.

The 48-year-old Founder and CEO of Kovai.co spend most of his time in London, while 250 employees work out of Coimbatore.

"I want to make Kovai.co a unicorn. The ambition is to make $100 million in revenue by 2030. Things are going in the right direction”, he said.

Saravanakumar's parents live in Mettupalayam, Coimbatore, while he lives with his wife and two sons in London, visiting every eight months.
