Poshvine Gets a Seed Fund Cheque from Myfirstcheque

Bangalore: The online destination to discover, reserve and enjoy dining and culinary experiences, Poshvine has received an undisclosed seed round capital from Myfirstcheque. The company was founded by Garima Satija and Richik Nandi and it specializes in providing its customers with instant and reasonable booking options at upscale restaurants with several perks like chef exclusives and free cuisine experiences, reports Yourstory.

Myfirstrcheque usually funds in companies at their seeding stage with funds within a million was founded in 2010. It has made many similar investments including Mericar.com. The key players in the investment firm team are Gautam Sinha, Monisha Advani and Prahlad Rao, who claim in their website to invest in companies like a co-founder and not as an investor.

“Garima and I both come from a background where on the breakfast table, lunch was discussed and during lunch, dinner. Wherever we have stayed, we have explored the different food facets of the city. Online, information sites abound. But having travelled extensively, we knew there was an opportunity for a platform where foodies discover unique culinary experiences offered by passionate people in the community and which offers solutions for ‘everyday affluent’ consumers who want flexibility, choice and personalized service, ” says Richik Nandi, founder and director of Poshvine.

Poshvine is now operating in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad and is looking forward to expand soon. It has also developed proprietary software called Electronic Reservation Book, which, among other things, acts as a distribution point for the restaurants’ digital storefront, as reported by Yourstory. “We will make use of our partnership with MyFirstCheque to increase our reach and coverage, and to design and deliver even more personalized experiences for our growing member base”, says Richik.
