Peak XV sponsors AI Tour for Indian Startup Founders to Silicon Valley

The venture capital firm that split from Sequoia Capital last year, Peak XV is taking its portfolio companies from India, Southeast Asia and Australia on an “immersion” trip to Silicon Valley this week to meet several industry titans.

According to a sources briefed on the matter, more than 60 founders, many backed by Peak XV’s powerfully influential program Surge will join forces from the firm on the trip to meet industry leaders and visit AI research centres.

As per an email from the firm sent to portfolio startups, the AI trip week includes strategy sessions with executives from OpenAI & Nvidia as well as Sequoia partner Doug Leone and talks from seasoned operators like Uniphore Chief Umesh Sachdev and DoorDash advisor Gokul Rajaram.

The startups to be hosted by Peak XV includes Rebrick AI, Arintra, Inferless, Pix.ai, Ethereal Machines, Incore Semiconductors, Mindgrove Technologies, Horizon Quantum Computing, Newtrace, Relevance AI, Multiplier, Atlan and Invideo, among others.

Also the week would also contain an ‘AI day’, with focus on learning from the playbook of founders & operators who have made it big in the world of AI.

Investors say that trip like “Immersion” can prove beneficial for existing AI start-ups in India & they can strategize on new capabilities to build and find customers overseas.

Over the weekend, Peak XV told founders the trip would “focus on building world-class products” and gaining “a glimpse into the AI world.”
