Paytm Partners with Groq to Power Faster AI Capabilities

Paytm, owned by One 97 Communications, has announced a strategic partnership with US-based AI company Groq to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities. Groq, founded by former Google engineer Jonathan Ross, is known for its high-speed AI chips called Language Processing Units (LPUs), which will now power Paytm’s next-gen digital services.
Under this collaboration, Paytm will deploy GroqCloud, a cutting-edge AI platform designed for ultra-fast and cost-effective AI inference. The upgrade aims to significantly improve Paytm’s transaction processing speeds, risk analysis, fraud detection systems, and overall customer experience.
Narendra Singh Yadav, Chief Business Officer at Paytm, said, “This partnership strengthens our tech foundation and enables real-time AI at scale”. He added, “It’s part of our ongoing mission to build India’s most advanced AI-driven payments and financial services platforms”.
Groq’s technology, which outperforms traditional GPU-based systems, will support Paytm’s goal of delivering instant and reliable user experiences across its payments ecosystem. The partnership also aligns with Paytm’s broader strategy of integrating advanced AI solutions to better serve millions of users and merchants.
