Paytm India teams up with FlixBus to broaden the Strong Distribution Network in India
The controversial fintech startup Vijay Sekhar Sharma led Paytm has recently entered into a strategic partnership with the Munich based transport company FlixBus in order to revolutionize intercity bus travel in India.
After this partnership, the tickets of FlixBus will be available on Paytm, and it will help to simplify access to intercity travel and enhance convenience for Indian travelers.
The MD of FlixBus India, Surya Khurana mentioned that, this partnership with Paytm will allow the company to offer its high-quality bus services to a broader range of customers in India.
He further mentioned, "Promoting intercity travel is crucial in our mission to drive affordable and sustainable transportation solutions. By encouraging more people to choose bus travel, we can significantly reduce emissions and make a positive impact on the environment."
The company is eyeing on achieving the highest spot in the industry by becoming one of the largest intercity bus services in India. For the transport providing platform this partnership is the way to enhance its distribution capabilities.
By utilizing Paytm's extensive customer base and technological expertise, FlixBus can expand its reach significantly.

Founded in 2011, Flix is a trailblazer in the transport sector, providing climate-friendly alternatives for convenient and affordable travel through its FlixBus and FlixTrain brands.
The company asserts that it rapidly built Europe’s largest long-distance bus network and has since expanded globally to the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
In 2018, Flix launched its first green long-distance trains and initiated a pilot project for all-electric long-distance buses. By 2021, it introduced the EU’s first biogas-powered long-distance buses.
