On-demand Platform 'Zepto' launches Unique App for Cafe service
Next week, quick commerce platform Zepto will launch a stand-alone app for its 10-minute food delivery service, CEO Aadit Palicha announced.
Customers can order coffee, sandwiches and more through the main Zepto app, which will have its own app.
A separate app for Zepto Cafe is coming up next week. It may not be perfect on Day 1, but it's worth it to launch fast, says Palicha.
He also added that Zepto Cafe is scaling rapidly, with the firm launching over 100 Cafes per month and already clocking 30,000 orders per day.
In 2022, Zepto Cafe launched a combination of branded and non-branded food items. Customers frequently add beverages and snacks to their grocery orders, which has increased average order values.
The annualized revenue run rate of Cafe is
160 crore and is projected to reach
1,000 crore by 2026, according to Zepto.
A funding round led by Motilal Oswal Private Wealth raised $350 million for Zepto. The organization has raised a total of $1.35 billion in 2024 and $1.85 billion since its inception.
According to a report by Motilal Oswal, Zepto has a market share of 29 percent, trailing Blinkit's 46 percent. A 25% market share makes Swiggy Instamart the third position.
The company said its latest round represents the largest 100% domestic fundraising within India's startup ecosystem. Leading financial institutions and Indian HNIs participated in the round, led exclusively by Motilal Oswal's Private Wealth division.
