Ola Electric Cell Business Head Vishal Chaturvedi Steps Down
  • Vishal Chaturvedi resigned from his role citing personal commitments, effective December 31, 2025.
  • This marks the first senior management-level resignation disclosed by Ola Electric this year.
  • The cell division remains a key part of Ola Electric’s vertical integration and battery innovation plans.

Ola Electric Mobility has announced the resignation of Vishal Chaturvedi, Business Head for Cell and a member of its senior management team. The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.

According to the filing, Chaturvedi stepped down from his role effective December 31, 2025. He cited personal commitments as the reason for his resignation. This marks the first senior management-level exit reported by Ola Electric in 2025.

The company had witnessed several leadership changes in the same period last year. In December 2024, Ola Electric saw the departure of key executives, including Chief Marketing Officer Anshul Khandelwal and Chief Technology Officer Suvonil Chatterjee.

Chaturvedi’s exit comes at a time when Ola Electric continues to focus on vertical integration, with its cell division playing a critical role in the company’s long-term strategy. Ola Electric has been expanding the use of its indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell across select electric scooter and motorcycle models.

Recently, the company received government certification under Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) norms for its Roadster X+ electric motorcycle. The model is powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack. This approval allows Ola Electric to begin deliveries of the motorcycle and supports a broader rollout of its in-house battery technology.

The company has also made progress on the policy and incentives front. For the financial year ended March 2025, Ola Electric secured Rs 366.78 crore in incentives under the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components. These incentives are tied to the company’s manufacturing scale-up and localization efforts in India.

Despite the leadership change, Ola Electric continues to push ahead with its plans to strengthen domestic manufacturing, battery innovation, and electric vehicle adoption. The company has not yet announced a successor for Chaturvedi’s role.
