• New residential launchpad aims to build early-stage startups in 90 days

Nikhil Kamath and Kishore Biyani have joined hands to launch The Foundery, a residential startup launchpad designed to help build early-stage Indian startups from idea to investment-ready ventures in just 90 days.

Positioned as a Co-founder factory, The Foundery blends the structure of a school, accelerator, and venture studio. Unlike traditional programs, it emphasizes real-world execution rather than theory. Participants live on campus and work intensively to validate ideas, build products, test market demand, and structure companies with practical guidance.

Founders selected into the program collaborate closely with experienced operators, investors, and domain experts. Those who help create ventures can retain up to 25 percent equity. Startups that meet internal milestones during the program are eligible for seed funding of up to Rs 4 crore, along with continued strategic support beyond the residency.

The program is open to aspiring founders, early-stage entrepreneurs, and mid-career professionals. Selection is based on problem-solving ability, creativity, and founder mindset, rather than formal degrees or polished pitch decks. Applicants go through multiple evaluation rounds focused on clarity of thought, execution skills, and resilience.

The Foundery also boasts a strong mentor lineup, including Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Kunal Bahl, Mithun Sacheti, Varun Berry, Rama Bijapurkar, and Aakrit Vaish. Each cohort concludes with a demo day, where startups present to a curated group of investors.

In addition to venture building, the program includes a 'School of Life' track focused on decision-making, mental resilience, and founder psychology. The Foundery will operate as a campus-based residential program and plans to run multiple cohorts every year, aiming to nurture a new generation of execution-first Indian founders.
