Karnataka-based deep tech startup Neuralix AI has introduced India’s first fully indigenous defense artificial intelligence technology, marking a major step in the country’s push for self-reliance in strategic sectors. The platform launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during the Chanakya Defence dialogue in New Delhi positions India to strengthen its military capabilities with locally developed, AI-driven solutions.
Neuralix AI developed the technology as part of the Ministry of Defence’s iDEX ADITY 2.0 initiative, which encourages Indian startups to build next-gen defense systems. The company, founded by a team of Kannadigas, has designed an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) solution focused on an indigenous large language model (LLM) tailored for defense operations.
According to Neuralix, the new AI system can support command assistance, document intelligence, multilingual speech and translation tools, operational analytics, secure data integration, and connectivity needs. These capabilities are expected to enhance digital resilience across the armed forces while reducing reliance on foreign technology.

Neuralix Co-Founder Vikram Jayaram added that the initiative reflects a milestone for Karnataka’s tech community and a significant contribution to India’s defense innovation landscape.
With this AI platform, India aims to build a future-ready digital defense ecosystem powered entirely by indigenous innovation.
