Mobility App 'Namma Yatri' enters Mangaluru!
Namma Yatri, the Bengaluru-based mobility app dedicated to empowering drivers has launched operations in Mangalore, marking another milestone in its expansion across Karnataka.
Namma Yatri is reshaping transportation with the backing of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and a driver-centered approach, building on its success in cities like Bengaluru, Mysore,Tumkur and Kalaburagi.
The vision of enhanced regional mobility is further supported by the introduction of Namma Yatri in Manipal and Udupi by the driver communities.
The local driver community has responded enthusiastically to the app after a month-long trial. With nearly 500 trips completed in November alone and 300 drivers already on board, the initiative is gaining momentum in transforming daily commutes in the region.
Namma Yatri community ambassador Naveen Kumar highlighted the platform's impact by saying that drivers feel genuinely empowered with Namma Yatri.
Customers are picked up right at their doorstep and the fares are transparent, building trust with passengers. Mangalore is earning more and customers appreciate the lower costs and better service, a true win-win for Mangalore.
With 2.3 lakh drivers and more than 50 lakh customers, Namma Yatri facilitates an average of 1.6 lakh journeys per day in Karnataka. A commitment to impactful, driver-driven growth and an open platform approach continue to fuel the app's expansion.
Over 2.8 lakh trips and collectively earning around Rs 2 crore were completed by drivers in Tumkur and Gulbarga earlier this year. Namma Yatri's mission is to help drivers increase their income while delivering affordable transportation to customers by democratizing technology.
