Mihir Karkare and Hareesh Tibrewala, Founders of Mirum India, have introduced Meru Life, a digital platform to enable people between 55-70 years of age, also known as 'Active Seniors'. The platform is intended to enable seniors to live meaningful and purposeful lives, with financial independence and social interaction.
Karkare, who is the CEO and Co-Founder at Meru Life, was most recently Managing Director at Mirum India, a position he held for more than 15 years. In unveiling the launch, he said, "Meru Life is a one-of-its-kind platform with a focus on empowering Active Seniors to live energetic lives. We have a great opportunity to make a positive difference to millions of lives while creating a long-term sustainable business with a focus on Dhan and Dua — Income and Aashirwad."
Prior to joining Mirum India, Karkare served as an Associate Software Engineer with e-Emphasys Technologies and has a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. With vast experience in analytics, entrepreneurship, and technology, he is well placed to spearhead Meru Life's vision.
Tibrewala, in the position of Co-Founder and Executive Chair at Meru Life, offers entrepreneurial expertise. Karkare and Tibrewala grew Mirum India (formerly Social Wavelength) into the country's largest digital agency. Sensing the emerging need for elder-centric digital solutions, they are leveraging their knowledge into the Age-Tech industry with Meru Life.
Meru Life's launch occurs at a critical juncture when elderly people are more and more adopting digital tools to ensure independence, well-being, and social interactions. The platform is meant to solve a multitude of needs, ranging from wealth planning and well-being to building community connections.
