Meesho collabs with Valmo to offer low cost supply chain solutions to Startups & SMEs

A prominent ecommerce startup in India, Meesho marked its footprint in the logistics industry through supply chain service Valmo. Valmo aims to offer low-cost supply chain solutions to startups and small & medium enterprises. It brings the logistics platforms, technology partners & small entrepreneurs operating catalogue centers together to optimize the process of delivery.

The Bengaluru-head quartered startup is betting on the micro-entrepreneurs as they have strong understanding of local communities & have the hidden ability to take on extra work.

The network permits the delivery partners to be positioned nearer to users, in that way reducing the time taken for each & every delivery.

On speaking to this, Sourabh Pandey, CXO of Fulfilment & Experience, Meesho stated, “Valmo is about getting organized smaller players to play a part in the larger e-commerce system. The smaller players amount to only about 20 percent of the e-commerce deliveries today. With Valmo as a network, we believe we can take that share to 45 percent”.

“We strongly believe in the opposite of that. We believe in creating a more plug-and-play network, which can add capacity on demand and we think this will be a lower cost operating model. Even if there is large volume moving out a city into multiple destinations, we route them through multiple disaggregated nodes,” he added.

Through Valmo, Micro-entrepreneurs are able to discover more work, while the network generates more insistence for players in delivery sector. Since Meesho is endeavoring to tap the bandwidth, it’s able to lower the delivery cost which results in benefiting both buyer & seller.
