Indian-Headed Naya Ventures to fund $50 Million in Mobile and Cloud Companies
Bangalore: A Dallas-based venture capital firm Naya Ventures is looking to invest a new $50 million fund in early-stage companies in the mobile and cloud space.
Headquartered in Dallas, with offices in Silicon Valley, Seattle and Hyderabad, the firm takes a unique approach to combine the features of a venture capital fund with those of a private equity firm.
The fund is headed by Dayakar Puskoor as general partner and a former Microsoft executive; Prabakar Reddy as managing partner, with more than 20 years of strategy and operational roles in Fortune 500 and innovative start-up companies and Gowri Shankar as venture partner and CEO of SinglePoint Technologies.
“We’re pleased that these investment partners have joined us and see the value in our unique approach,” said Puskoor.
Apart from funding, Naya Ventures connects entrepreneurs with industry experts and leaders to help their companies grow. The firm has been operating since 2011. Its portfolio has 7 companies including BoxFish, Zoomingo and Glympse.
