IndiaAI Mission Partners with Intel India to Strengthen AI Skills and Innovation Nationwide
Intel India has partnered with the Government of India's IndiaAI Mission to introduce a holistic initiative to boost artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and promote skill development in the country. The partnership, signed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will empower students, startups, professionals, and public sector leaders by providing them with AI skills for the good of society and efficient governance.
The collaboration will be concentrated on four flagship programmes YuvaAI, StartupAI, IndiaAI Dialogues, and facilitating Bhashini for more extensive accessibility in remote areas.
YuvaAI, under Intel's AI for Youth programme, will empower school students to develop socially relevant AI solutions. StartupAI will facilitate upcoming AI startups with access to technology infrastructure, business mentorship, and mentorship through the Intel Startup Programme.
IndiaAI Dialogues, along with the Intel Digital Readiness for Leaders programme, aims to prepare public sector leaders and policymakers through curated workshops and immersive experiences to drive AI-informed governance.
Another key area of focus is the expansion of Bhashini’s reach to remote classrooms, helping overcome language barriers and enhance student learning outcomes through AI.
Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and CEO of IndiaAI Mission, emphasized the far-reaching impact of the initiative: "Our collaboration with Intel on YuvaAI has enabled thousands of students to learn the fundamentals of AI. We look forward to involving Intel's global technical experts even more in further developing the IndiaAI Mission".
Besides, the partnership is also aiming to establish data labs to train young people in data science and AI in order to foster a future-ready workforce in line with India's digital transformation agenda.nda.
