"India strives to become a Global manufacturing Hub", says PM Modi


Underscoring the country on Independence Day, Prime minister, Narendra Modi stated that the Indian government is taking significant steps to transform India into a global hub of manufacturing as he addressed for enhancing the product & services quality to achieve the global standards. 
He stated that there should be core focus and emphasis on “design in India”, design for the world” and insisted to build products and services that aligns with the demands of domestic markets as well as global markets. 
In addition, he talked about the government’s striving 1.97 trillion PLI - production linked incentive scheme which is witnessing an enormous success. The PLI scheme intends to make India as a powerhouse of manufacturing, eliminate the dependence on imports and generate lucrative opportunities for employment. 
Speaking to this, Prime Minister Modi says, “India is known for its best quality. Now we have to focus on the field of design in India for the world. We have to try to make sure that the Indian Standard should become the International Standard. When the Indian standard becomes the international standard, then everything of ours will be easily approved. This will depend on the quality of our production, service, and our approach. The day is not far when India will be the hub of industrial manufacturing and the world will be looking towards it”.
Further he added, “FDI reforms have also given us great strength. MSMEs’ have got a great boost. A new system has developed and due to that our manufacturing sector has become a manufacturing hub of the world. I have seen this after the elections, most of the people who are asking to meet me in my third term are investors…This is a very big golden opportunity. I request the state governments to attract investors”.
