Dr. Aravind Bharadwaj, Co-Founder & Director, TuTr Hyperloop, said, "Excellent academia-industry collaborations are key to making affordable & scalable Hyperloop solutions a reality. This partnership will allow us to develop a game-changing mode of transport from India for the world."
"Our knowledge in aerospace, propulsion, and system design will go a long way in furthering Hyperloop research and commercial uptake", added Prof. Dr. Chiara Manfletti, Department Head, TUM.
Gabriele Semino, Managing Director, Neoways, says, "Partnering with IIT Madras and TuTr Hyperloop allows us to speed up Hyperloop from an idea to a commercial reality".
TuTr Hyperloop has also entered into an MoU with SYSTRA, an international transportation engineering company, to develop the next-generation high-speed transport technologies in India.
The alliance brings TuTr Hyperloop's experience with Hyperloop and high-speed transport solutions together with SYSTRA's knowledge in planning, designing, and delivering infrastructure. Through the partnership, Tutr Hyperloop and Systra will strive to set up a pilot project aimed at showcasing the applicability of hyperloop under real-life environments. The program will be used as a proving ground for fine-tuning and certifying the technology, providing an idea of the integration of the hyperloop into India's transport infrastructure for passenger and freight travel.
This partnership between TuTr Hyperloop and SYSTRA is a landmark moment in revolutionizing high-speed mobility in India. Through the convergence of deep-tech innovation and international engineering expertise, we are not just speeding up Hyperloop development but also creating the building blocks for scalable and sustainable transportation solutions. This partnership is in line with India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047, making sure that we are at the forefront of next-generation mobility", Prof Chakravarthy added.
Elucidating on this partnership, Dr. Aravind Bharadwaj, Co-Founder, TuTr Hyperloop, stated, "At TuTr Hyperloop, we are determined to lead the development of an affordable, made-in-India high-speed transit solution for the world. With Systra joining us, our capability to design cutting-edge transport systems is bolstered by bringing world-class engineering capabilities together with innovative mobility solutions. We are thrilled to collaborate towards making India's future in high-speed travel a reality".
Technology R&D and innovation under this collaboration will be driven towards developing some of the leading features of high-speed mobility such as propulsion, levitation, and infrastructure efficiency. The mission is to innovate world-class hyperloop technology that is scalable as well as efficient, addressing the unique requirements of India's transport infrastructure.
In addition, V. Srinivas, Representative of SYSTRA India, stated, "India is at the forefront in envisioning future transportation. Hyperloop technology is a game-changer, and through this tie-up with TuTr Hyperloop, we are looking to offer our engineering and infrastructure capabilities in support of the realization of this vision. We are excited about collaborating closely with TuTr Hyperloop in charting the future of sustainable high-speed transportation.
This multi-stakeholder partnership strengthens India's emerging leadership in sustainable, high-speed transportation technology. By combining deep-tech innovation with international engineering expertise, TuTr Hyperloop, IIT Madras, TUM, Neoways, and SYSTRA seek to develop scalable Hyperloop solutions for passenger and freight transport, advancing urban and freight mobility.
Hyperloop Corridors
For effective implementation, feasibility studies and route design will be done to assess probable hyperloop routes and urban mobility use cases. This will entail a thorough evaluation of infrastructure needs, safety standards, and environmental concerns to ensure that the solutions thus developed complement India's future mobility objectives.
Apart from technology and infrastructure development, the collaboration is also focused on skill development and knowledge sharing. Through cooperation with IIT Madras and other educational institutions, the project seeks to develop research and innovation while creating a strong talent pipeline for the future of high-speed transportation in India.
The signing of this MoU strengthens India's emerging leadership in high-speed, sustainable transport solutions. By combining deep-tech innovation with international engineering capabilities, TuTr Hyperloop and SYSTRA intend to develop a scalable template for future mobility that accelerates progress in passenger and cargo transportation throughout the country.
