IIT (BHU) Powers India's Data Future with Rs 20 Lakhs Startup Launchpad

In a major stride to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, the I-DAPT Hub Foundation of IIT (BHU), Varanasi, has launched its Startup Incubation Programme, inviting applications from early-stage tech startups specializing in Data Analytics and Predictive Technologies (DAPT).
Prof. Ram Sharan Singh, Project Director of I-DAPT Hub, highlighted that the programme aims to transform innovative ideas into successful business ventures by providing essential resources such as office space, technical and legal support, market access, mentorship, and funding assistance up to Rs 20 lakhs. Startups incorporated in India and focused on commercially viable DAPT products or services are eligible to apply.
Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Dean (Research & Development), emphasized the initiative’s alignment with national missions including Make in India, Viksit Bharat, and Atma Nirbhar Bharat. He stated, “Our goal is to build a vibrant startup ecosystem in the region that empowers technopreneurs to create scalable and impactful solutions”.
Prof. Amit Patra, Director of IIT (BHU), expressed the institute’s commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. He added, “Through the I-DAPT Hub Foundation, we not only support startups with funding and mentorship but also inspire them to develop technologies addressing real-world challenges and advancing the nation’s technological prowess”.
The I-DAPT Hub Foundation is a Section 8 company and technology incubation centre at IIT (BHU), dedicated to nurturing scientific and technological innovations, transforming them into commercially viable and socially impactful products that contribute to regional and national economic growth.
