- IIMCIP partners with TechnoServe to support green and sustainable ventures
- Focus on cleantech, renewable energy, waste management, and more
- Selected startups to receive incubation, mentorship, funding, and investor access
In a big push for green innovation, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) has joined hands with TechnoServe’s Greenr Sustainability Accelerator to support more than 100 climate focused startups over the next five years.
The partnership will help incubate 20-25 early stage startups each year that are working on clean and sustainable solutions. These include sectors like renewable energy, waste management, green construction, cleantech, and agroforestry.
This effort aligns with IIMCIP’s newly launched Rs 50 crore Cleantech and Sustainability Fund. All selected startups will go through IIMCIP’s incubation programme. Out of these, the top 10–15 promising ventures will receive deeper support from Greenr, including expert mentoring, market access, and connections to global investors.
The Greenr accelerator is backed by the IKEA Foundation and Visa Foundation, strengthening the programme’s ability to help startups scale and make real climate impact.
