ICICI Bank Expands With Startup Focused Branch In Bengaluru

ICICI Bank has opened a new Bengaluru branch that is catering specifically to the banking needs of startups through a blend of digital and offline services. Located on 19th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, the branch aims to be one point of contact for startups at various stages of development.

The branch offers a suite of services for startup founders as well as employees. Corporate banking facilities include current accounts, including GIFT City accounts, overdraft facilities, corporate credit cards, escrow arrangements, foreign currency accounts, and working capital loans.

These loans include financing against Stand by Letter of Credit (SBLC) and Fixed Deposits, as well as schemes under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). For individual banking, the branch provides products for startup employees and entrepreneurs alike, including family banking facilities, 3-in-1 demat accounts, Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) accounts, home and property financing, gold and personal loans, credit cards, and investment opportunities.

For digital facilities, clients can avail Corporate Internet Banking (CIB), the InstaBIZ app, Trade Online, and an Integrated Payment System for vendor and tax payments. Other features include e-collections, e-mandates, payment gateway capabilities, and UPI solutions.

More than 250 application programming interfaces (APIs) are also available through the Developer Portal of the bank, enabling integration of payments, collections, auto-reconciliation and allied services. International banking support comprises Swift remittances, along with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) transaction assistance.

Apart from traditional banking, the branch is an engagement area where startups can interact with venture capitalists. A specialized relationship management team can be made available to extend customized advice. ICICI Bank now has over 460 branches and over 1,020 ATMs and cash recycling terminals in Karnataka. The new office will be working from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of the month.
