HCL Technologies renames itself to HCLTech
India’s third largest IT services company by revenue HCL Technologies said on Monday that it has rebranded itself as HCLTech with a new brand identity and logo. The rebranding is part of initiatives to drive better distinction between the parent group HCL Enterprise and the technology arm, said a HCL senior executive.
HCL Technologies' Chief marketing officer Jill Kouri told ET that chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra and CEO C Vijayakumar were closely involved in designing the company's brand as they seek to attract new clients and a younger employee base with the new identity. The company’s new ‘HCLTech’ brand and logo will driveits go-to-market strategy. HCL Enterprise covers HCL Infosystems, HCL Technologies and HCL Healthcare.
As the company nears the $12 billion revenue mark, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson, HCLTech said the rebranding will create a distinct global brand identity while retaining connectivity with HCL Group. “For HCLTech, Supercharging Progress is about accelerating the digital transformation for our clients everyday as well as the ethos of the organization to advance the aspirations of our people, contribute to a sustainable planet and uplift local communities across our global footprint," Nadar Malhotra said in a statement.
The company also launched its new employee value proposition (EVP) – ‘Find Your Spark’.

It also underscores our responsibility to continue contributing toward inclusive growth of communities where we operate and a sustainable planet for the generations to come,” said C Vijayakumar, CEO & Managing Director, HCLTech.

“We have decided that as we are starting to gain so much more ground and traction in our key geographies of the US, Western Europe, parts of Asia, we need to come into our own identity,” said Kouri. According to the Kouri added that the rebranding effort was in the works over the past 12 months and was led by efforts to drive better brand recognition in new geographies like Eastern Europe and Central America for clients and prospective employees alike. Kouri added that HCLTech’s CSR arm HCL Foundation is also under a similar rebranding process as it will take its initiatives global going forward, however the foundation name will not change.
