Government Plans to Relieve a Few Manufacturing from the Extended Lock Down

The country is all set for the extended lockdown,However, The center is in idea to resume few manufacturing after April 15.This is to mitigate the economic damage due to COVID19 outbreak.

Sources said, The 21-day lockdown of India’s was what decided but the government is widely    expected to extend it until the end of the month, with the number of coronavirus cases rising

It also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed some ministries to come up with plans to open up some crucial industries as the livelihoods of the poor were being hit.

The government is considering allowing the resumption of some operations under guidelines that were being drawn up.

The industries ministry has put forth the proposal to restart some manufacturing in the autos, textiles, defence, electronics and other sectors. This could be achieved via reduced shifts with lower staff numbers to ensure social distancing.

“We believe some industries could be allowed with reasonable safeguards as long as social distancing norms are maintained,” an official, from the industries department, said.

As India approaches the end of the lockdown period, both the Centre and states are taking up shift in strategy for dealing with covid-19 outbreak, with the focus now on both lives and livelihood
