During the latest discussion on the Big Technology Podcast, Aravind Srinivas, CEO, Perplexity AI underscored the depth to which global tech companies like Google are keen to keep hold of their employees.

Aravind Srinivas narrated a précised case in point, where Google offered 4x – 300 percent hike to the employee’s salary who was thinking to switch his job at Perplexity AI.

In addition, Aravind Srinivas has spoken upon the layoffs issues in the tech world. He highlighted that there is an uncertainty about the standards & measure that companies use to decide whom have to cut down from the company.

He also denoted that, based on what we had, the groups might mark those with high-paying jobs who do not contribute proportionately to the company’s output & productivity.

He also mentioned out that in employees of key tech companies like Google, they can take wide-ranging vacations without affecting the functionalities of the company, although there look like to be a swing towards examining the output relative to recompense.

As well Google had decided to lay off some of its employees in this year. Around 1,000 people who were working for Google might lose their jobs in the new wave of layoffs.

Moreover, Google is allowing these folks to apply for other job positing within the company. If they are not capable to secure any more position at Google by the month of April, they will have to go away from the company.
