GoKwik Appoints Ex-Wix, Shopify Exec Vargab Bakshi as Chief Growth Officer

GoKwik, the rapid-growth e-commerce enablement startup powering more than 12,000 online brands has announced the addition of Vargab Bakshi as its Chief Growth Officer. This strategic recruitment follows the company's move to bolster its leadership team for driving product-led growth and expansion into international markets.

Bakshi, in his new position, will oversee GoKwik's end-to-end growth efforts, such as marketing, brand strategy, strategic partnerships, product-led growth (PLG), and global market growth. Additionally, he will work on scaling GoKwik's integrated e-commerce solutions, such as those with Shopify, to drive merchant performance.

Bakshi has extensive experience in developing and growing internet-first businesses. He was a member of the founding team at Shopify India, where he played a key role in defining the company's go-to-market strategy throughout India and other emerging economies. He also spearheaded the APAC partner ecosystem, establishing Shopify as a go-to platform for D2C brands and developers.

After Shopify, Bakshi held the role of Vice President and Country Head for India at Wix.com, managing marketing, enterprise sales, partnerships, and product localization. His efforts were instrumental in raising the adoption of Wix among digital agencies and non-coders in the country.

The leadership hire follows on the heels of go-kwik strong momentum. The firm closed a growth round of $13 million recently, led by RTP Global, on top of its roster of noted investors. GoKwik has a shopper base of over 130 million and fuels D2C success stories like Lenskart, Neeman's, Shoppers Stop, and Man Matters by enhancing checkout and conversion experiences.

Bakshi also led the development of GrowKwik, GoKwik's content learning platform with more than 500,000 followers on Instagram and YouTube. The initiative is focused on educating e-commerce founders with actionable learnings and operational tactics.
