Indian space tech startup GalaxEye is set to launch ‘Mission Drishti’, the world’s first Earth observation satellite with multiple sensors onboard, in the first quarter of 2026. This will be India's largest privately built satellite, weighing 160 kg and offering unmatched 1.5-metre resolution.

Mission Drishti will combine Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and optical imaging technologies in a single satellite, something no one in the world has done before. This innovation allows high quality Earth observation even in bad weather or at night, enabling round-the-clock monitoring.

GalaxEye says the satellite will help governments, defence forces, and industries with applications like border security, disaster response, agriculture, infrastructure tracking, and insurance risk assessments.

Suyash Singh, CEO and Co-Founder of GalaxEye, said, “We are entering a new era where real-time data from space can directly support smarter decisions on the ground”. He added, “Our technology brings unmatched visibility for sectors that rely on accurate and timely information”.

The company also confirmed plans to build a constellation of 8–10 satellites over the next four years, providing continuous Earth observation coverage.
