In a major boost to inclusive entrepreneurship, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with YourStory Media Pvt. Ltd., a leading digital platform focused on startups and innovation.
The collaboration aims to empower 1 million entrepreneurs through AI-powered tools, regional language storytelling, and venture launchpads under the Bharat Project. By targeting Tier II, Tier III, and rural India, the partnership seeks to democratize access to startup resources and foster grassroots innovation.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjiv Singh, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, highlighted the importance of inclusive platforms in unlocking entrepreneurial potential across India. He emphasized that the initiative would expand access to networks, knowledge, and success stories for aspiring founders from underserved regions.
The initiative will also tap into flagship startup events and tech-driven platforms to boost engagement, foster founder-investor networking, and support innovation in emerging sectors like artificial intelligence, generative AI, data, and blockchain.
The MoU was officially signed by Shri Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, and Ms. Shradha Sharma, Founder & CEO of YourStory and The Bharat Project, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
This collaboration marks a strategic step towards making India a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
