The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Kotak Mahindra Bank and Primus Partners to boost India’s startup ecosystem.
The partnership with Kotak Mahindra Bank aims to provide both financial and non-financial assistance to startups recognised by DPIIT. Under the agreement, the bank will offer zero-balance current accounts, working capital loans, term loans, and API-based banking platforms. It will also provide digital payment solutions and special startup cards tailored for early and growth-stage ventures.
Beyond banking, Kotak will support startups with mentorship, investment advisory, incubation assistance, and networking platforms, helping them move from the idea stage to successful scaling. The initiative is designed to ensure startups have easier access to credit, funding, and essential business tools.
Meanwhile, DPIIT’s collaboration with Primus Partners focuses on developing early and growth-stage startups through structured capacity-building programs. The partnership will drive mentorship, market access, policy awareness, and technology adoption among product-based startups.
