Curefoods acquires the Franchise Rights to Sbarro, a Pizza Chain Established in US

Curefoods, a cloud kitchen company that owns EatFit, CakeZone, and Great Indian Khichdi, revealed that it had acquired the South Indian franchise rights for Sbarro, a US-based pizza restaurant. Sbarro is a global pizza chain that specialises on New York-style pizzas and has 630 locations in 28 countries, according to a statement from Curefoods.

Curefoods intends to open roughly 50 Sbarro locations in the next three years, beginning in Karnataka, with a mix of walk-in locations and cloud kitchens to ensure maximum client reach.

The first Curefoods-owned Sbarro store is expected to open in Bengaluru during the next quarter as a result of this agreement.

Upper Crust Foods manages the master franchise rights for Sbarro India.

"Pizza, as a category, enjoys immense popularity in India and having a New York-style pizza offering is a great addition overall to our portfolio at Curefoods. By working with an international brand such as Sbarro, we aim to leverage our expertise in scale and technology to amplify its presence further. This partnership will not only strengthen our presence in the pizza category but also help us serve a globally recognised and loved legacy pizza brand to the country," Curefoods Chief Business Officer Gokul Kandhi added.

"We provide food which can suit the palette of our customers daily while keeping in mind their nutrition needs. We currently operate brands like EatFit, Yumlane, Aligarh House Biryani, MasalaBox, and Paratha Box," company statement said.
