Cloudnine Hospitals Planning to Raise $17.9 Million for Expansion

Bangalore: The leading maternity and infant care hospital, Cloudnine is planning to extend its reach to the major cities in the country and is planning to raise about $17 million funds. Cloudnine which recently opened its second unit in Bangalore is planning to build branches in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad through acquisitions, reported Deal curry.

The chain of clinics founded in 2007, is owned by Dr Kishor Kumar and Scripps and Scrolls India. It specializes in services like complete pregnancy care, fertility care, gynecological care, well women care, neonatal and pediatric care. The venture is planning the third operational center in Bangalore after setting up a Greenfield project in Mysore.

"It gives me a great pleasure today more than 5 years ago when we started our journey in India in Bangalore - by opening our first centre in Jayanagar, Bangalore with lots of dreams and passion and trying to convince people that we are not another maternity hospital but a better mother and baby centre where dreams are delivered! Today I can boast that with our comprehensive Maternal & neonatal care, we have delivered more than 10,000 babies so far without losing a single mother,” said Dr Kishor Kumar, CEO and MD of Cloudnine.

The new center in Bangalore was inaugurated by the chief minister of Karnataka. "We are keen on transforming Bangalore into a hub of Health Tourism. We need the support of hospitals, such as Cloudnine, which are bringing the latest medical technology to the city and its people," he told India PR Wire.
