BytePe Launches Smartphone Subscription Platform in India
  • Jayant Jha, former Flipkart leader and founder of Yaantra, launches BytePe, a first-of-its-kind smartphone subscription platform in India.
  • BytePe offers affordable access to premium devices like the iPhone 17 series through flexible monthly plans.
  • The model includes 100% damage protection, yearly upgrades, and assured buyback for upfront buyers.

BytePe, a new age smartphone subscription platform, has launched in India with a vision to redefine tech ownership. Founded by Jayant Jha, serial entrepreneur, former Flipkart executive, and co-founder of Yaantra. BytePe is designed to offer a smarter, more flexible alternative to traditional EMIs and upfront payments for smartphones.

The service allows users to access the latest smartphones, including the newly launched iPhone 17 series, at lower monthly costs without long term commitments. Unlike the usual ownership model, BytePe lets users subscribe, use, and upgrade their phones every year. There’s no stress of high upfront payments, and every plan includes one time 100% damage protection.

Users can either subscribe via credit cards or opt for BytePe EMI, a convenient option for non-credit card holders. After 12 months, users can upgrade, return, or continue the plan to own the device. Those who prefer purchasing upfront can avail of insurance and get up to 50% assured buyback after a year or two.

Jayant Jha said, “BytePe isn’t just about smartphones. It’s about giving people affordable, flexible access to technology and changing how we view ownership. We’re starting with phones but will expand into other electronics soon”.
