Blinkit ventures into Emergency Medical Services! Launching its 1st Ambulance services
Emergency medical services are now offered by Blinkit, Zomato's quick commerce division, which is well-known for its 10-minute grocery delivery service. The platform promised a 10-minute response time for urgent medical needs when it launched its first ambulance service in Gurugram today. Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of Blinkit, announced this initiative on X.
The service launches with a fleet of five ambulances, all outfitted with cutting-edge medical equipment like automated external defibrillators (AEDs), oxygen cylinders, and necessary medications. According to the company, each vehicle will have a skilled driver accompanied by trained paramedics and assistants to guarantee prompt and expert care.
Blinkit's initiative attempts to address the long-standing inefficiencies in traditional ambulance services, which are frequently criticized for their exorbitant costs and lengthy wait times.
"We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term," Dhindsa said, underscoring the venture's social focus. Blinkit has made it simpler and quicker for its users to access emergency medical services by incorporating ambulance booking into its app. This action might upend the ambulance industry and establish new standards for urban health care.
Over the next two years, Blinkit intends to expand its ambulance service to additional major cities. The business will face off against competitors like Red.Among them are Health, Dial4242, and MeduLance. "This is the first step in tackling the difficulty of offering prompt and dependable ambulance services in cities.
