Bhavish Aggarwal-led Krutrim all set to design & launch its first AI chip by 2026

Bhavish Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO of Ola Cabs, founded the AI startup Krutrim in December of last year. On Thursday, the company made the announcement that it will design, construct, and launch its first AI chip by 2026.
Bodhi for artificial intelligence, Sarv for general computing, and Ojas for edge computing are the names of the first family of chips that are being developed. Additionally, the business stated that Bodhi-II will launch in 2028. As a result, the company announced a strategic partnership with Arm and Unteher AI, two global chip manufacturers.
Additionally, the company stated that it would increase Krutrim’s data center capacity to 1 GW by 2028. The capacity is currently 20 MW. Aggarwal switched Ola’s workloads from Microsoft Azure to its own Krutrim Cloud a few months ago. Aggarwal stated today at the event that Krutrim AI is ready for the majority of applications required by Indian developers thanks to the launch of over 50 new services.
According to the company, Krutrim Cloud will expand its services to include AI models, AI platforms, data platforms, infrastructure domains, and AI applications. According to Aggarwal, Ola Cabs and Ola Electric are already utilizing the Krutrim AI. Aggarwal provided specifics regarding the acceptance of Krutrim by Indian developers, stating that more than 25,000 developers have utilized Krutrim Cloud and that more than 10 million users have utilized Krutrim’s chat app.
Additionally, since its introduction in early 2024, 250 billion API (application programming interface) calls have been made across products. He added that Krutrim has generated over 1 trillion tokens in the last six months. Additionally, the business stated that cloud services worth
