BharatPe's CMO Parth Joshi steps down to launch Own Venture
BharatPe’s Chief Marketing Officer, Parth Joshi, has resigned to start his own venture, according to sources. His departure adds to the growing list of BharatPe executives who have left in recent years to pursue entrepreneurship.
Joshi became BharatPe's CMO in June 2021. Before that, he was Head of Marketing at Reckitt for over five years and had previously spent three years each at GSK and L’Oreal. Sources indicate that he is currently serving his notice period.
A BharatPe spokesperson stating that Joshi has chosen to embark on his entrepreneurial journey, which the company respects. They emphasized BharatPe’s commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship, wishing him success in his new venture.
His resignation follows the recent exits of BharatPe’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Smriti Handa, and Chief Data Scientist, Ritesh Mohan Srivastava. Handa is moving abroad for career opportunities, while Srivastava is pursuing entrepreneurial goals.
According to data from TheKredible, former BharatPe executives and employees have launched nearly a dozen startups and venture funds in the past two years.
In April 2024, Ankur Jain, BharatPe’s former Chief Product Officer, launched Jivi.ai, an AI healthcare startup. Genwise, founded by former BharatPe executives Rajat Jain, Geetanshu Singla, and Nehul Malhotra, secured funding in April 2023.
Third Unicorn, started by BharatPe’s Co-Founder and MD Ashneer Grover along with his wife Madhuri Jain, introduced fantasy sports platform CrickPe and fintech startup ZeroPe. Co-Founder Bhavik Koladiya became CEO of SaaS startup OTPless, while former CEO Suhail Sameer joined venture capital firm OTP Venture as a managing partner.
