The AVGC (Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics) industry is witnessing progress as it provides world-class services at national and international levels. Notably, with the proper set of innovations, this progressive sector is spearheading an unprecedented growth rate with the global market size of the AVGC-XR sector estimated at around $800 billion. India has the potential to capture 5% ($40 billion) of the global market share by 2025, with an annual growth rate of around 25–30%, and lead to over 1,60,000 new jobs annually. Henceforth, India is on the brink of becoming the global data and content platform for the AVGC sector.

Due to niche advantages popping up each and then and consistent support from the government, the AVGC industry is transforming its standard. To boost the confidence of domains such as animation, VFX, gaming, AR/VR, ad films, location-based entertainment, new media, and various forms of post-production and multimedia, the government of Karnataka has taken an oath to show high growth and multiply value.

Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for the Departments of Electronics, IT, and Bt, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka, conveyed, “The Government of Karnataka is the accelerator, proudly enabling Bengaluru GAFX 2025, showcasing India’s creativity, enthusiasm, talent and investment candidates making this event AVGC-XR’s beneficial hub in visual immersion, disruption, and storytelling”.

To promote the industry and talent of stakeholders, the government of Karnataka is back with Bengaluru GAFX. On 25th February, India’s premier AVGC-XR Conference was organized by the Ministry of ITBT, Karnataka. To declare and announce that the most prominent productivity feast for the AVGC industry commences from February 27th to March 1st, 2025 at Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.

“Karnataka is the innovator, giving good opportunities to generate jobs in the AVGC industry and multiply funds for destructive evolution boosting talent, businesses, and acceleration in storytelling and technology. I am sure, 2025 is for startups and IP to evolve and raise a good amount of funding opportunities”, said Dr. Ekroop Caur, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt, Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka.

The new theme of GAFX 2025 is the “Future of Immersion: EXPERIENCE. EXPLORE. DISRUPT.” This charismatic theme states the event’s commitment to furthering the frontiers of creativity and technology. With a strong focus on creativity and innovation, new business models will be shaped to bloom the future of media and entertainment.
