Bengaluru based Spacetech Startup Pixxel Appoints William McCombe as CFO

Bengaluru based revolutionary Spacetech startup Pixxel has recently appointed William McCombe as its new chief financial officer (CFO). In this newly joined role he will oversee the company's accounting, financial planning, capital raising, treasury,legal and regulatory functions.

He joins Pixxel with extraordinary experience as a Chief Financial Officer at various space and technology hardware companies like Maxar, the largest US space imaging company and Velo3D, an industry leader in metal 3D printing systems for aerospace, defence and other  industries.

In his previous job roles William worked as Chief Financial Officer at Maxar, where he led Maxar’s $3.5Bn merger with Digital Globe. He also served as Chief Financial Officer at Velo3D, where he led the company’s IPO transaction. In addition, he was CFO at HZO, a nano-coating supplier for the electronics industry. Before these roles, he was a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Bank of America and Morgan Stanley.

The startup which was founded by The startup – founded by Awais Ahmed and Kshitij Khandelwal, began its operations in 2019 and last raised $36 million in a funding round in June 2023. Last year in the month June, the company raised $36million in a funding round.
