Avalanche blockchain platform has partnered with Team1, an international community of developers and creatives, to roll out a $100,000 Team1 India Mini Grant. This is intended to accelerate the Web3 ecosystem in India through the funding of early-stage blockchain startups and projects.

Targeting specifically young and up-and-coming developers, some of whom are under 27, the grant aims to fill vital gaps in funding and mentorship that presently block long-term developer engagement within the Web3 ecosystem. An exclusive team from Avalanche and Team1 will assess and award grants to promising Web3 startups, providing not only capital but also mentorship, resources, and access to the Avalanche ecosystem.

The process of selection will involve in-person demos in several Indian cities, with a focus on inclusion from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where digital innovation is progressing at a very fast pace. The aim is to encourage grassroots talent and decentralize opportunity across the nation.

Devika Mittal, Regional Head at Ava Labs, also mentioned India's emergence as a Web3 hub:
