Aurus Network Gets Investment From IAN


Bangalore: Aurus Network, a cloud based firm mainly based on video creation, management and distribution in the educational sector, has received investments from Indian Angel Network for an undisclosed amount.

The company exclaimed that the funding will be used to increase their focus and to develop talent on the R&D platform. Recently the company opened its R&D centre in Bangalore. Ajai Chowdhry, Saumya Meattle, Ashvin Chadha & Sharad Sharma are the lead IAN investors for Aurus Network. Saumya Meattle and Sharad Sharma will take the board seat on Aurus Network, reports yourstory.in.

Distributor of online education, Aurus Network was founded on 2010 by Piyush Agarwal and Sujeet Kumar. Aurus Network revolutionized the way in which online education is being distributed with live 2- way classes, by reducing the cost in video conferencing and also supplying VSAT equipments and networks.

Investors IAN have funded startups across a number of sectors like IT, healthcare and education. Recently IAN invested in firms like Consure Medical, gaming firm- HashCube, cloud technology provider- OrangeScape, Birds Eye Systems and Peel-Works, a cloud enabled sales force transformation and BPO firm.
