ATA holds business seminar 2021 to encourage Telugu entrepreneurs

The American Telugu Association (ATA), a premier national association established to promote the Telugu community in the United States of America, organised Business Seminar 2021 to encourage Telugu Entrepreneurs with mentorship and funding.

This is an initiative to provide a platform for venture capitalists and startup companies and to encourage business ideas apart from mentoring young entrepreneurs.

ATA Vedukalu Business Committee Chair Mr. kasha Kotha said, “The Business Seminar agenda was multifold, to increase networking and interaction between the US-based Telugu entrepreneurs and business owners based in Telangana; mentor and invest in start-up companies in India, especially those based in Telangana; and attract more companies into second-tier cities like Khammam, Warangal, Karimnagar, and Nizamabad.”

ATA Conference Advisory Committee Chair Mr Jayanth Challa, said, this seminar is an effort to promote US-India partnerships and encourage entrepreneurs to invest in various districts across Telangana State.

Though these over USD 20 million were invested in Indian startups and ATA has been conducting such seminars in Hyderabad once every two years since 2014, he said these Business Seminars encouraged multiple companies to move into second-tier cities; and starting of a T-Hub in Khammam town is a big accomplishment made possible by Lax Chepuri ATA Co-Chair for Business.

In addition to mentoring and potential investment discussions between investors, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, this “Business Seminar” is also the launchpad for a continuous dialogue between various enterprises planning to move to second-tier cities and officials representing the Government of Telangana, Mr Jayanth added.

Transport Minister Mr Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge CEO Mr Srikanth Sinha, Telangana Principal Secretary (IT and Industries) Mr Jayesh Ranjan and State IT Investments CEO Mr Vijay Rangineni were the senior executives from the Government of Telangana who took part in the seminar.
