Aspora, the cross-border fintech platform formerly known as Vance, has appointed Varun Sridhar as the CEO of its wealth management and lending business. The company announced the leadership addition through its official LinkedIn post, marking a major step in strengthening its global operations.

Sridhar brings more than two decades of experience in financial services, digital banking, and consumer fintech. He previously served as the CEO of Paytm Money and Paytm Services, where he played a key role in scaling the platform from launch to profitability. He also contributed to Paytm’s preparations during its pre-IPO phase, helping build the company’s operating and financial model before its public listing. Sridhar stepped down from Paytm Services in August this year.

Before joining Paytm, he worked with leading global banks such as BNP Paribas, Citibank, and Deutsche Bank, gaining extensive experience in retail banking, wealth management, and multi-market fintech operations.

At Aspora, Sridhar will focus on expanding the company’s wealth and lending products and strengthening its cross-border banking stack as the platform grows across global markets. Founded in 2022 by Parth Garg, Aspora was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2022 batch and recently completed a rebranding as it accelerates international expansion.
