The Startup Maha Kumbh 2025, India’s largest startup event, was successfully held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from April 3 to April 5, 2025. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) hosted this event which experienced double the startup participant count at 3,000 and received participation from 64 different countries thus demonstrating India's increased authority in worldwide startup activities. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal launched the event at which exhibitors participated in industry masterclasses and utilized expanded pavilions while networking with one another. The initiative also offered startups the opportunity to win a Rs 50 crore (US$ 5.9 million) grant challenge.

A key highlight was the participation of over 45 tribal startups, including those incubated at IITs and IIMs, showcasing cutting-edge innovations. The Startup Maha Kumbh combined efforts to create public-private partnerships and draw worldwide investments which solidified India's ranking as the third-biggest startup ecosystem while demonstrating its dedication to innovation-based business development.
