A new growth and development programme for startups, Appscale Academy has been announced by Google and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MietY). This programme looks to train for a global audience for early-to mid-stage startups. 100 startups will get trained in the selection process by Google and MietY through a customised curriculum that includes virtual instructor-led webinars, self-learning material and mentorship sessions and will revolve around six months.

The programme will cover topics such as global reach, monetisation, Google Play policy, app quality, user acquisition, app design and data safety best practices. Applications are open for any Indian startup looking to accelerate business growth. The last date for submission is December 15. In January 2022, the final list of 100 startups will be announced.

Appscale Academy also provides personalised mentorship, MietY Startup Education courses, access to Google self-paced learning programmes as well as invite-only seminar and events. The programme also offers app quality and market consultation reviews. The startups can run on free, transaction, paid or any other business model. Google makes sure that this programme is only open for Indian app developers and applicants should be aged 18 years or above.

The startups will commit to a six-month-long training, coaching, and mentorship programme. The sessions will be conducted by Co-Founder and CEO of Koo Aprameya Radhakrishna, CEO and Co-Founder of Games2Win Alok Kejriwal, Vice President and General Manager of Growth at Meesho Megha Agarwal and more.
